I'm a freelance video editor and After Effects person based in London, UK. My skills lie in both fast-turnaround efficient editing and polished integrated motion-graphic style edits. Over the past few years, a lot of my work as been delivering promos and commercial type work for consumer brands. It's my belief that the narrative is the most important aspect of an edit and I think with experience, becomes second nature.
Having worked with agencies for the last 8 years, it goes without saying, I know better than anybody the importance of remaining organised at all times when running a project. I also think my experience and technical minded way of thinking means I can quickly troubleshoot and fix problems, something that seems to still be key today as when I first started editing 10 years ago.
Having used all the major players in editing software (FCP7, FCPX, Adobe Premiere Pro and AVID), I almost exclusively edit using Adobe Premiere Pro for most of my projects these days. Universal support for all major camera formats and codecs without transcoding mean that Premiere Pro is one of the fastest editing platforms available. The Adobe Creative Cloud integration means that jumping between After Effects, Audition and Premiere Pro is a complete breeze. I own my own edit suites, fixed and location based so I can edit where needed.
I undertake many kinds of editing projects such as fast turnaround Video News Releases, preparing A-Roll and B-Roll reels for broadcast media, to high-end corporate films incorporating motion graphics to longer form documentary style programmes. Whilst a lot of my work is brand funded and charity content, I'm most happy when I'm working on something with a strong narrative lead.
I've produced After Effects animations for the BBC, edited viral videos with millions of views, cut corporate videos with leading business people and edited brand fund content that's been played out on Channel 4's Daily Brunch and BBC Breakfast.
