I am Jon Collins. I capture authentic stories and create outstanding video content for broadcast, brand funded, PR, marketing, advertising, documentary, news, corporate and sport.
As a freelance broadcast cameraman, my camerawork has featured across broadcast. My work has been seen on the BBC & ITV, news services such as BBC Newsround and Yahoo! as well as sports world feeds. As a freelance cameraman I've shot branded content and corporate video for Amazon, Heineken, Tesco and EE.
In a freelance DoP capacity, I've lit and shot green screen content for the likes of Michael McIntyre's BAFTA awarding winning TV show as well as numerous studio based commercial content. As a freelance cameraman, I currently hold a license to fly drones on productions where it is necessary.
I'm a freelance videographer and have shot content across the marketing, branded content and social media sectors. Charity clients who've used me as a freelance videographer include the likes of UNICEF, Macmillian and the Dogs Trust. I've filmed corporate video content for clients such as the National Careers Service, Unilever, CISCO and Ernst and Young.
I use a variety of camera systems in my freelance videographer work but currently I work with the ARRI Amira, Sony FX6/FX9s and Sony FS7 but I'm familiar with most major camera setups. I have a large selection of lights, lenses and grip to really bring the story to life.
As a self shooting PD, I've shot a variety of content across the charity, PR and news sectors. I've years of experience directing and bring this to the front when self shooting. I'm experienced in working with vulnerable contributors and getting the best out of people who think they're camera shy.
I'm also a very proficient editor with over 15 years experience in editing. I'm more than happy in pulling together edits.
