The Hiscox Future of AI Art video podcast explores how artificial intelligence is reshaping the art world, raising timely questions around authorship, creativity, and authenticity. In this video podcast production, a panel of artists, critics, and collectors discuss how generative AI tools such as Midjourney can produce compelling visuals at speed, but often lack the human intention and emotional depth that collectors still value.
The conversation also examines the environmental impact of AI-generated content, the long-term effects of the NFT boom, and how machine-generated imagery is influencing both digital and traditional art markets. Rather than positioning AI as a replacement for creativity, the discussion highlights how technology is reshaping creative processes — while reinforcing the idea that meaningful art still relies on human storytelling, context, and authorship.
I led the video podcast production for this roundtable, working with a small crew to capture a natural, high-quality discussion that felt credible and editorial rather than overly staged. A multicam setup using Sony FX9, FX6, and FX3 cameras allowed us to cover multiple contributors seamlessly, maintain pacing, and give the edit flexibility to focus on reactions, exchanges, and key moments throughout the conversation.
A dedicated sound recordist ensured broadcast-quality audio throughout, while the Hiscox team had access to live video and audio playback during the recording. This allowed them to actively shape the discussion in real time — ensuring key themes were explored in depth while keeping the conversation flowing naturally.
Following delivery of the full-length episode, the project was designed for repurposing. We created a suite of short, platform-ready cutdowns optimised for LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube, highlighting key insights, strong opinions, and standout moments from the discussion. These clips allowed Hiscox to extend the life of the podcast well beyond the initial release, supporting ongoing thought leadership, social engagement, and brand visibility across multiple channels.
By combining a long-form video podcast production with a structured social cutdown strategy, the series worked as both a flagship piece of content and a flexible asset library — helping Hiscox engage new audiences while reinforcing its position at the intersection of technology, culture, and creativity.
